Thanks for your comment, Faysal. Larry did indeed touch many lives and his influence will continue though others. It’s a great question for any of us ‘what do you want your epitaph to be?’ We all have the capacity and opportunity to make a positive difference to the lives of others, but Headteachers have more opportunity than most. Larry would be the first to say he wasn’t perfect. What I now realise is that – in a unique way – he had the gift of seeing the Divine in everyone.

Larry was clearly a wonderful man who has left his mark on those around him. Our young people need head teachers like him; headteachers who are willing and able to show respect to young persons and who are willing to do everything to help them achieve their potential.
